When I host a party I prefer serving appetizers to a full meal.
The biggest reason is I love the variety and the social aspect of a
party where there isn’t the formal element of sitting down to a
proper dinner. Appetizers are also great because many of them
can be made in advance so you can enjoy the party and your guests!
Here’s what I’m making this year…
Easy but fancy!
Presentation on this one is EVERYTHING!
Find a tall martini glass to serve the shrimp cocktail in
and no one will remember that all you had to do was unthaw the shrimp!
My suggestion is to buy very good quality and slightly larger shrimp
than you would for a cooking recipe.
I promise this dip will be the hit of your party!
8 oz. Cream Cheese (room temperature)
2 cup Sour Cream
1/2 cup Ranch Salad Dressing
1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot
1/2 cup Shredded Tex Mex Cheese
24 oz. Chicken (I recommend using a rotisserie chicken, diced)
No party is complete without one.

Here’s what I like to include on my Cheese Board…
Cranberry Goat Cheese
Honey (accompanies Blue Cheese well)
Fruit Chutney or Jam
Add a homemade Cheese Ball to your
Cheese Tray for a customized option!
8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 cups Gouda or Colby Cheese (shredded)
1/4 Chopped Fresh Chives
1/4 cup Diced Bacon
2 Crushed Garlic Cloves
3/4 cups Toasted Pecans
The gangs all here… Seafood, Chicken, Italian Meat, Bacon and Cheese!
I will also serve veggies and dip and lots of desserts and treats!
