12 Days of Christmas – Day 4 – Party Time

12 Days of Christmas

 Day 4 – Party Time

I LOVE throwing a party! Tis the season for parties and gatherings so I have answered some common party dilemmas……..

Evite    vs      Paper Invitations

It’s completely acceptable in our world of convenience and social media to send a paperless invitation for a casual party. It’s easy and quick for the host and it’s simple and fast as a guest to RSVP and correspond with the host. Obviously you can NEVER go wrong with sending a formal invitation if you wish. A more formal invitation is necessary for a formal party.

Family Style    vs     Plated Dinner

This is similar to the Invitations debate. If you’re throwing a formal party with a small guest list then have a formal dinner. If you’re throwing a less formal party and want a more interactive and casual feel have appetizers or a full dinner served family style. This allows the host to relax and enjoy the party too!

Christmas Music    vs     Regular Music

I love both! I think that a great playlist that incorporates mostly Christmas music but adds a few classic songs that everyone loves is the best playlist.

Fancy      vs       Casual

I love a fancy party but I ALWAYS have more fun at a casual party during the holidays! When I throw a party I like to have a casual and comfortable atmosphere mixed with beautiful fancy touches. I still have beautiful flowers, great food, perfectly appointed decor but without the stuffiness of a formal gathering. Having fun is all that matters!
