I’ll admit I’m not completely into work this week.
I’m on a little vacay with two of my absolute favourite people.
My Momma and Sis.
This year for my Sissy’s birthday she asked her husband
for a few days away without the kids.
Just a good old fashioned girls trip spent shopping, eating, suntanning and feeling
that easy peasy life of waking up and only worrying about herself.
As much as we all miss having her kids and the guys with us on this trip we are
having a blast and loving every moment that 4 years ago and
3 kids ago we so blindly took for granted!
Scottsdale is my second home so today I thought I’d share my
favourite spots for any of you who’re travelling here.
Scottsdale is a very underrated shopping city.
It has all of the high end luxuries of any large city
as well as some great bargain shopping spots.
I LOVE mixing a bargain with a higher end buy.
Here are the spots I like to hit while I’m here…
An outdoor shopping area that has large box stores like Target, Ross and Kohls.
All of which have some great little gems.
Target has my heart.
From home decor to clothes I’m a huge fan.
And what’s a bargain
shopping trip without having to dig! Enter Ross Dress for Less!
Ross is similar to Winners in Canada but the prices are much lower.
Kohl’s is an affordable department store.
It has some great lines like Vera Wang and Lauren Conrad.
It’s worth the stop while you’re at Desertridge.
Desertridge also has a pretty fountain, coffee shop, movie theatre
and restaurants in the center section.
It is a great place to go if you have kids because they can
play in the fountains while you sip your Starbucks.
Barrio Queen recently opened a location at Desertridge
and it is the perfect mid shopping lunch spot!
Nordstrom is my FAVOURITE department store
so their discounted little sis is always on my list!
This area also has Saks Off 5th, Steinmart as well as few other smaller shops.
The Promenade has some great home decor stops as well.
Cost Plus World Market is a seriously awesome place for home decor.
I like to think of it as the Trader Joe’s of the design world.
Another great stop for decor in this area is Living Spaces.
All of this is in the same parking lots so it’s a great stop!
Maggiano’s Italian Kitchen. This is a must stop even
if you aren’t heading to the area to shop.
The Quarter & Kierland have some great brands like
Free People, Vince, The Gap, Planet Blue and Lulu.
They have a large mix of price points so it’s a great stop for everyone.
This area is one of my most common spots to stop for home decor.
It’s home to West Elm, Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn.
Across Scottsdale road in Kierland you’ll find
Zgallerie, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn Kids and Arhaus.
All worth a stop if you’re in the market for interior design shopping.
In my opinion The Quarter is the prettiest place in Scottsdale to grab a coffee or a
Menchies and just sit and enjoy the twinkly lights strung on the palm trees.
My dinner choice in the Quarter is Dominicks.
Whether you’re in the bar for happy hour or dining at the rooftop pool
the food and service is ALWAYS on point.
My afternoon coffee and snack break choice in Kierland is Zinc Bistro.
Sipping french press coffee on the patio while eating one
of the best cheese boards in the world is pure heaven!
After dinner head to IPic. It’s a next level fancy movie theatre.
Your VIP ticket gets you free popcorn
but the best part is they serve a full food and drink menu
from the adjoining restaurant as
well as they have full service at your seat.
You just go sit down and everything comes to you.
No lines and no waiting. It’s a must-do! It’s so fun.
Some of my other favourite restaurants …
Culinary Drop Out
Old Tortilla Factory
Malee’s Thai Food
I hope you get the chance to visit the Scottsdale area
very soon and check out some of my favourite spots!
