Throwing a Chic Orange + Black Halloween Party

Throwing a Halloween Party??

I absolutely LOVE hosting a party. Last night I hosted a girls night that unintentionally ended up having a theme. Halloween must be in the air because after I finished preparing the food I realized that almost everything I served was orange!

Here are my food and design tips for the perfect chic Halloween party…

Food

Panko Crusted Chili Chicken

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper

2 eggs

2 Tbsp. milk

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 cup Thai sweet chili sauce

green onions

cucumbers

sesame seeds

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.

2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

3. Use three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper. In the second, beat the egg with the milk. In the third bowl, combine the panko, salt and pepper.

  1. Coat the chicken first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, then in the panko. Place on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes flip the pieces and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until chicken is golden brown and no longer pink inside.
  3. Toss the chicken in the chili sauce
  4. Garnish with green onion, bite sized cucumbers and sesame seeds.

  1. In a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, ranch, sour cream, and Frank’s Red Hot until well blended.
  2. Stir in diced chicken.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup of grated cheese.
  4. Put mixture into crockpot.
  5. Serve warm with celery sticks, tortilla chips, pretzels, pita chips or crackers.

A great party has great decor.

We covered the Orange in the food now it’s time for some black!

Here are my favourite ways to decorate for Halloween.

I ALWAYS start my party plans with a flower choice and Halloween is no exception…
